The original plan was for most of the team to compete in the invitational shot at the Mesa Classic, but the meet ran a bit late. The open shot didn't get started until 8pm (11pm our time!), and the invitational was to follow, so Coach Judge decided we'd had enough for one day. All of the shot putters competed at the Sun Angel Classic the next evening.
The Lady Gators took 7 out of the top 11 places. Candice wasted no time announcing that she is back in the shot put, with a 52-2 mark and a 5th place finish. After some really close misses the last couple of weeks, Scarlett joined the other girls as a regional qualifier with her 45-9.25! Now all the shot putters are going to Regionals! Gooo Scarlett!
