All of us threw the hammer at the Mesa Classic, and then a smaller group threw at the Sun Angel Classic. Jukina led the way at Mesa with a big PR, and Candice came back to win the Sun Angel.
 We had plenty of throwing room at the Mesa CC facility. They had 4 great rings for discus/hammer and an adjacent shot ring... great for our fans :) |

The Sun Angel Classic gave the Lady Gators a first-hand look at some of their top competition in the country--Juliana Tudja and Lai Lai Crawford of USC. Even though the discus throwers finished the Mesa meet in the dark, Coach Judge had the girls up at 4am to get ready for their 8am start. Yikes! Candice came through with another boomer to win, and the Lady Gators took 6 out of the top 9 places overall.
